Icebreaker is a large book, as a sports romance, it has 450 pages worth of story meaning it’s probably a hundred pages larger than the norm. Some people can find that to be a bit annoying, a compact yet meaningful read is what most of us want.
But we also can’t let go of all the scrumptious fillers, in any case, the opinions can vary from person to person. On the other hand, the book is laced with complex emotions, misunderstandings, love, and hate, of course, it’s gonna take that many pages to untangle or maybe tangle it up even more.
The book presents an enemy to lovers settings and somehow follows through the narrative. It could have been better, the reason why Anastasia hates Nate seems a bit over the top, and also about the fact that the synopsis tells us about how Anastasia has to team up with Nate. it’s a plot that the readers can only find once they are halfway through the book.
That aside, the book’s plot did flow naturally, like how Anastasia slowly found a middle ground with Nate as they came to practice in the same field. The plot became that much more spicy because of Anastasia’s attitude.
